Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday suspended Balangir sub-collector Sanjay Mishra for allegedly misbehaving with a woman clerk.
“He shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining the previous permission of the collector,” the order read.
Earlier in the day, Balagir Collector Arindam Dakua has formed a fact-finding committee to probe the sexual harassment charge against Mishra.
In her three-page complaint submitted to the district collector, the woman staffer had threatened to commit suicide along with her two minor daughters if justice was not meted out to her.
