Sambalpur: A female employee of Regional Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO) here has brought sexual harassment charges against a senior official of the organisation.
In a complaint lodged by the woman at Mahila police station here, she has accused the regional commissioner of sexually harassing her for the past couple of months.
He had called her to his chamber and asked her to give him a shoulder massage and threatened her with dire consequences, if she did not do the same and disclosed the matter to anyone, the woman stated in her complaint.
The woman alleged that despite repeated complaints, police failed to initiate any action against the accused.
The victim further said that her colleagues advised her against filing any police complaint, but she finally knocked the doors of Mahila police station.
Basing on the complaint, police have started investigation and assured justice to the victim.
