Mumbai: On the eve of his blockbuster spy-thriller ‘Pathaan’s third anniversary, Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday announced the release date of his much-awaited action-film ‘King’.
‘King’, which also stars SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, is all set to release ahead of Christmas on December 24. “#KING is Ready to ROAR on 24.12.2026 in Cinemas #ItsKingTime #KingDateAnnouncement,” SRK wrote while announcing the release date.
SRK and filmmaker Sidharth Anand added to the excitement of fans by sharing some gripping visuals from the film, which showed the actor in a bold, fierce new avatar.
One of the visuals feature Shah Rukh standing amid snow-covered mountains, wearing a white shirt drenched in blood, roaring at the top of his lungs.
In another visual, the actor is seen breaking through the glass ceiling of a structure, looking intense.
Soon, thrilled fans took to the comments section to express their excitement.
A fan wrote, “Blockbuster KING.”
Another commented, “OMG 2026 gonna be King’s Year.”
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, ‘King’ was officially announced in November last year.
As per reports, SRK will be playing a seasoned assassin operating within the dark underworld in the film, while his daughter Suhana will play his protégé, training for dangerous missions.
The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, and Raghav Juyal in key roles.
