Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan once again proved why he is known as the king of wit.
During a recent fan interaction in Mangaluru, a married fan confessed that she loved him more than her husband.
Shah Rukh replied, “Yeh sab akele mein batana chahiye na (You could have told this to me in private),” leaving the audience in splits.
Then, on a serious note, he added, “I know it is a matter of speech and I understand your feelings, and I am sure your husband does too. I love you all. I love your husband. I love your family. Thank you so much.”

Shah Rukh greeted the audience at the event with a ‘namaskara’ in Kannada and expressed his gratitude.
“Thank you, Mangalore! First of all, when I was coming here, I didn’t know what to expect. But the warmth, love, goodness, and excitement, right from the airport to the drive down here, amidst all you people, felt great.”
On the work front, Shah Rukh is busy with his much-awaited action film ‘King’, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan.
The film is reportedly inspired by the 1994 classic ‘Léon: The Professional’, with SRK playing a seasoned hitman who takes a young girl under his protection.
The film also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is scheduled for a Christmas 2026 release.
