Shakti Kapoor Slams Viral Death Rumours, Mulls Legal Action

Mumbai: Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor reacted strongly after false rumours about his death began circulating online.

Calling the reports, which left fans shocked and concerned, disturbing and irresponsible, the actor said such fake news not only creates panic among loved ones and admirers but can also have serious consequences.

The veteran took to Instagram to share a video addressing his fans and followers, saying, “Hello everyone. My death news is all fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore it.”

Assuring fans that he is healthy and completely fine, Shakti also stated that he intends to take legal action against those responsible for spreading the fake death reports.

“I am going to do a cyber complaint about it because this is not good,” he added.

After the video went viral, many social media users flooded the comment section, criticising those behind the fake death rumours involving Shakti and expressing relief that the veteran is safe and doing well.

Shakti Kapoor, popular for his iconic comic and villainous performances, has appeared in nearly 700 Hindi films over a career spanning more than 40 years.
