Mohali: Fresh from their Asia Cup triumph, Team India dominated Australia to win the first ODI by 5 wickets here on Friday evening.

The Indian batsmen then did their job to perfection and achieved the target in 48.4 overs.

Shubman Gill continued his brilliant run with another sparkling knock (74 off 63 balls).

With skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, rested, Ruturaj opened the innings with Gill, and grabbed the chance with both hands. Gaikwad almost matched Gill stroke for stroke, compiling a classy 71 off 77 deliveries.
