Shocking! Afghan National Footballer Fell To Death From US Plane

Kabul: A footballer who had donned the Afghanistan jersey for the youth team fell to his death following his desperate attempt to cling on to a US plane that was airlifting people out of Kabul that has been captured by the Taliban.

The death of Zaki Anwari was confirmed by the government institution General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports of Afghanistan.

“Anwari, like thousands of Afghan youths, wanted to leave the country but fell off a US plane and died,” the group was quoted as saying in a statement by news agency AFP.

A disturbing video from the airport that surfaced on Monday showed hundreds of people running alongside a US Air Force plane as it took off from the runway, several men desperately clinging onto the side to leave Taliban-captured Kabul.
