Bhubaneswar: As Christmas celebrations have already begun across the Odisha capital, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has geared up to become Santa Claus for denizens.
Along with the comeback of the weekly street festival ‘Patha Utsav’ on Sunday (December 25), BMC announced that a special stage will be set up for people who want to showcase their talent on ‘Bhubaneswar’s Got Talent’.
“A unique stage at Patha Utsav this time apart from the regular song, music & other fun activities. ‘BHUBANESWAR GOT TALENT’. A stage will be set up for you to come & showcase your talent at the Patha Utsav,” the civic body tweeted.
The winners will also be given prizes in the talent show. “All those who want to participate in programmes like dance, music, skating, painting, rangoli, etc, can give their names near the stage. There is no age bar for participation,” BMC Mayor Sulochana Das told a presser.
Das further urged the citizens to visit the ‘Patha Utsav’ and witness Bhubaneswar’s talent from 6.30 am to 9.30 am.
Besides, two stages will be erected for cultural shows including one at Master Canteen Chhak and another near Ram Mandir Chhak like in previous years.
Notably, BMC will conduct a total of three ‘Patha Utsav’ this year initially. While the first one will be on Master Canteen Chhak to Ram Mandir Square stretch, the second will be held on January 8, 2023, near KIIT Square. Likewise, the third event will be organised near Ekamra Constituency on January 15.
