Berhampur: A teacher has landed in a soup for wearing jeans to school, thus violating the dress code.
The Community Education Officer (CEO) has served a showcause notice in this connection on Assistant Teacher Purnachandra Jani of Chikili Nodal Upper Primary School.
He has been asked to submit an explanation in three days.
According to sources, the teacher was found wearing jeans instead of following the dress code while on duty on August 16.
Notably, the School and Mass Education Department in Odisha had introduced dress code for teachers to encourage equality and discipline in all state-run schools.
