Mumbai: Music composer Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan fame died at a Mumbai hospital on Thursday due to COVID-19 complications. He was 66
His son, musician Sanjeev Rathod, told the PTI that he passed away around 10.15 pm. “He was not responding to treatment at all. He passed away at the hospital. Please pray for his soul,” Sanjeev said.
Shravan was admitted to SL Raheja Hospital on Monday in a critical condition after contracting the virus.
Nadeem-Shravan got their big break in 1990 with Aashiqui, which created records in music sales. The duo established itself as one of the most prolific composers of the 90s and early 2000s with Saajan, Sadak, Phool Aur Kaante, Deewana, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Raja, Agni Sakshi, Jeet, Pardes and Raja Hindustani.
They parted ways in 2005.
