Shutdown Ends: Know What Will Remain Open In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Following the end of 60-hour shutdown, the Balasore administration on Sunday issued  notification listing shops that are barred from operating and those that are allowed to open from 6 am to 2 pm daily.

All shops are encouraged to facilitate home delivery, it added.

SHOPS TO REMAIN OPEN
1. Patho labs/Diagnostics Services
2. Grocery, bakery, bread, essential consumption items including personal hygiene, Vegetables.
3. Non-Veg (Chicken, Meat, Eggs, Fish)
4. Livestock feed
5. Shops of educational books for students.
6. LPG Gas Agency and transportation.
7. Agriculture equipment repair shops
8. Cement, rod, chips and House holding materials.
9. Electric shops selling fans, bulbs and other items for maintenance work
10. Mobile recharging centers including recharge facilities for pre-paid mobile
connection.
11. Electronic Appliances repairing shops.
12, Photocopy
13, Services/ Products/ processing associated with agriculture and allied services.
14. Fruits.
15. Milk & milk products shop
16. Restaurants! Eateries with take away facilities
17, Health insfitutions and Ambulance Services (24X7)
18. Medicines and optical store ( 24X7 )
19, Petrol pump inside municipal area (6 AM to 2 PM)

SHOPS NOT TO BE OPENED

Tea stall/ food stall/hotel without permission /jewellery/beauty parlor/salon gym /Fast food (Thela)/Cloth shops/ Multi brands and single brand malls and shops selling/ Pan (Betel)/ Tobacco/ Ghutka/ Chewing Gums and any food items promoting spitting and others categories not mentioned above will remain closed.

ADVISORY
1. All permitted shops are encouraged to facilitate home delivery to minimize the
movement individuals outside the home.
2. Senior citizens and children are advised to stay at home and not to come outside
unless very urgent.
3. Motorcycle pillion riders will not be allowed. Motorcycles for collection-of essential items are also not allowed in urban areas except senior citizens and PWDs as per Orders of the Orissa High Court.
4. Person having no work in the market will remain at home.
5. All the shop keepers and buyers (Customers} will use mask and follow
Social distancing norms.
6, It is the responsibility of owners and vendors to ensure social distancing within and outside the stores/shops.

The violators will be prosecuted as per the provisions of Sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and COVID-19 Regulations 2020, besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
