Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for 2017-18 and 2018-19 were announced on Friday.
Odissi vocalist Shyamamani Devi and Daskathia maestro Upendra Panigrahi will be conferred with the prestigious ‘Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja’ Award of the Akademi for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19, respectively.
They will be receive Rs 1 lakh and a shawl each as part of the award.
Besides, 32 artists of 15 departments will be honoured with Akademi awards for two years.
