Bhubaneswar: City denizens were transported to the golden era of Doordarshan with renowned TV producer-anchor Siddharth Kak of ‘Surabhi’ fame attending an event at the State Archives here recently.
His popular cultural magazine show stood out for its execution about the uniqueness of India with the million dollar smile of his co-anchor Renuka Sahane.
Kak spoke his mind at the special event ‘Idea of India’ organised by the Culture Department. He said India has more than 5,000 heritage sites which lie neglected and are crying for attention. He also shared a 60-minute documentary on different aspects of ‘Surabhi’.
“With the changing scenario and younger generation spending more time on social networking sites, our show must evolve to tap them,” he added.
