Silver Cladding For 5 More Doors On Puri Jagannath Temple Complex

Puri: Five more doors inside Jagannath Temple here would be given a silver cladding.

Puri Srimandir Administrator (Development), Ajay Kumar Jena told the media that the gates of Mahalaxmi Temple, Vimala Temple, Nrusingha Temple, Sata Pahacha and Bhoga Mandapa will be draped with silver.

A final decision in this regard will be taken at a special meeting on October 27, he added.

According to a preliminary estimate, around 2500 kg of silver will be required for the purpose.

Meanwhile, work on Kalahat, Beheran and Jaibijay doors of Garbhagruha of the temple has begun and around 1,920 kg silver will be used for the makeover.
