“My motto as a musician is to spread happiness. If my music can motivate someone and bring a smile on their face, I guess my job is done,” says well-known singer Abhijeet Mishra, talking about the release of his corona song Karo Na.
Karo na is Abhijeet’s way of asking everyone to stay positive during these difficult times. Talking about the emergence of this song, he said, “We are homebound these days and in these difficult times, it is very important to remain calm and do something productive.”
Hence Karo Na asks you to stay at home but make the most of the time that we have by indulging in a hobby, spending time with family and spreading positivity in these difficult and stressful times.
The song has been written by Abhijeet’s friend Rajkumar Mahto, while the vocals and the music are by him (Abhijeet). Being a singer, he has some dreams. One line in the song, agar sang nahi koi, toh apne sapnon ko tatolo reflects his thoughts about life.
The visuals accompanying the song are actual videos sent by his friends and fans during home quarantine doing the things they like, thus justifying the line Karo na. Karo na.. ghar mei rehke kuch Karo na.
Talking about the plight of freelance singers during this crisis, he said, “We as citizens are paying our taxes to the Government but I feel very bad that the government is not thinking about us. Our source of money is concerts and if there is no gathering in the coming six months, what will happen to us”.
Talking about his future projects, he said that he is coming up with something big very soon. He is learning every day, acquiring knowledge and gathering experience living in Mumbai. His corona song is being loved by his friends and fans. Abhijeet recently came up with another song Maa on Mother’s Day.
