Singer Kumar Sanu Tests COVID-19 Positive

Mumbai: Popular Bollywood singer Kumar Sanu has tested positive for COVID-19.

The news was shared by the playback singer’s team on social media on Thursday evening, news agency PTI reported.

“Unfortunately Sanu da has tested Corona positive, please pray for his good health. Thank you,” Sanu’s team posted on his Facebook page.

Sanu was reportedly planning to leave for the US on October 14 to celebrate his 63rd birthday on October 20 in Los Angeles. But after his diagnosis, the plans have been pushed.

Sanu was in the news recently after his son Jaan became one of the contestants of the ongoing TV show ‘Bigg Boss 14’ hosted by Salman Khan.

In a career spanning almost three decades, Kumar Sanu has recorded songs in over 30 languages including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu and Malayalam. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri.
