New Delhi: Well-known singer Lucky Ali on Monday alleged that a land mafia is encroaching on his Bengaluru farm and expressed concern for his family and children. Ali accused Sudhir Reddy of encroachment with the help of his wife, an IAS officer.
In a letter to the Karnataka Police chief, Lucky Ali wrote, “My farm, which is a Trust Property located in Kenchenahalli Yelahanka, is being encroached on illegally by Sudhir Reddy (and Madhu Reddy) from the Bangalore Land Mafia. With the help of his wife, who is an IAS officer by the name of Rohini Sindhuri, they are misusing state resources for their personal gain. They are forcibly and illegally coming inside my farm and refusing to show the relevant documents.”
“They don’t have court order to come inside the property as we are in possession, and living there since the past 50 years. My family and small children are alone on the farm,” he added. The singer also alleged that he is getting no help from the local police and accused them of supporting the encroachers instead.
“I request your help to stop this illegal activity of them trying to prove a false possession before the final court hearing on December 7,” Lucky Ali wrote in his letter. Responding to the allegations, Sudhir Reddy said, “Lucky Ali is an alien to said property which originally belongs to Yeshwanth Shenoy and sold to Mansoor Ali and Mansoor Ali sold to Sudhir Reddy.” Mansoor Ali is the brother of singer Lucky Ali, India Today reported.
“Lucky Ali started attempting to interfere in our possession and even assaulted Madhusudan Reddy (brother of Sudhir Reddy) through his agents,” Reddy wrote in his response.
“The present actions of Lucky Ali for posting lies on social media makes him fully liable for Civil and Criminal Defamation. I am taking all legal action thereon accordingly,” he added.
