Puri: After being endorsed by Odisha chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi and cricket legend Kapil Dev, the upcoming OMC Puri Coastal Marathon 2026 was promoted by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn on his social media handle, leaving netizens to guess whether the actor will join the event this year. Sharing details of the registrations, the actor has urged people to participate in the event.
The Odisha Tourism Department organises OMC Puri Coastal Marathon 2026, emphasising sports, fitness, tourism and community involvement. It is scheduled for December 13 in Puri.

It is recognised as India’s only marathon combining sand and road running. It expects to attract runners nationwide and internationally to Puri, showcasing Odisha’s spectacular coastline, cultural heritage, spiritual significance and hospitality.
With a total prize money of Rs 1 crore, the marathon seeks to fuse sports and tourism. What makes this marathon truly unique is its 5 KM Run on Sand included across all four categories, adding a distinctive coastal challenge to every runner’s journey. In its previous edition, actor Milind Soman had attended it.
