Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) on Thursday approved three important projects worth Rs 864 crore, chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi informed.
Chairing a crucial meeting here, the chief secretary said, “The aim is to give a boost to industrialization. The projects that were cleared include a 1,32,0000-tonne per annum capacity multi-layer double paper board manufacturing unit of West Coast Paper Mill Ltd along with a 12 MW captive power plant at Sonepur with an investment of Rs 750 crore. The project will provide employment to around 700 people.”
The SLSWCA has also given the green signal for establishment of a maize processing plant by Vijaynagar Biotech Private Ltd at Papadahandi in Nabarangpur district with an investment of Rs 59 crore. The 50,000-tonne unit would create employment opportunity for nearly 400 people, Padhi said.
Apart from these, establishment of a Sea Food Park at Deras in the state capital by Kedar Investment & Trading Co Pvt Ltd has also received the SLSWCA nod. Once set up, the food park will generate 1,035 employment opportunities. The park would be set up at an estimated cost of Rs 55 crore, he added.
