Sisir Saras Fair In Bhubaneswar From Jan 4

Bhubaneswar: Sisir Saras, the annual fair for handicrafts and
indigenous rural products, will be held at IDCO Exhibition Ground here
from January 4 to 15, 2018.

Briefing media persons here on Saturday, Panchayati Raj Minister
Pradip Maharathy said, “Around 600 artisans from different parts of
the country will participate and exhibit a variety of rural products
in nearly 280 stalls. State and Central agencies like Central Khadi
Board, Coir Corporation, TRIFED and NABARD will also showcase their
products and activities in the exhibition. Besides, stalls will also
be erected by Panchayati Raj Department to provide detailed
information to the visitors regarding different schemes including
MGNREG, Rural Drinking Water Supply scheme and Biju Pucca Ghar
Yojana.”

The exhibition aims at providing a platform to rural artisans and
craftsmen to showcase and sell their products.
