Bhubaneswar: An annual ritual of the Odisha Cultural Calendar, the national-level Sisir Saras rural fair will be hosted in Bhubaneswar in January 2020.
Organised by Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), this pan-India fair aims to create market linkage of rural producers among urban consumers.
It will be held from January 4 to 14 at Exhibition Ground near Ram Mandir Square in Bhubaneswar, informed PR&DW, Law, Housing & Urban Development Minister, Pratap Jena.
Following a meeting to take stock of the arrangements, the minister said 25 states from India are going to participate in the fair.
Besides, SHGs/PG from all the 30 districts of Odisha shall participate with their products, he added.
Besides the marketing scenario, Sisir Saras 2020 will also have cultural events scheduled every evening. The events will include soulful Odissi dance to Odia & Hindi melody nights, folk dance and light comedy shows, etc.
