Bhubaneswar: Six children were rescued by Crime Branch sleuths from a hotel at Khandagiri here on Saturday, the first day of Operation Muskaan.
According to reports, those rescued were engaged in a hotel. They have been kept under supervision and the officials are trying to contact their guardians.
The third edition of operation will continue till August 13. The drive aims to trace the missing children and reunite them with their parents or rehabilitate them.
On the other hand, child line officials rescued an abandoned infant girl from the verandah of a house at Tankol village under Jankia police limits in Khurda. The baby was admitted at Khurda hospital. Police are investigating the matter.
