New Delhi: After infecting tens of thousands of people in over 60 countries across the world, the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is raising its ugly head in India, which reported three new cases this week.

The total number of confirmed infections in the country is six. Of these, three were reported from Kerala in February and one each from Delhi, Hyderabad and Jaipur in March.

The three natives of Kerala and students from Wuhan have been discharged from hospital after treatment.

Among the recent cases, the 45-year-old man in Delhi had a travel history of Italy, while the 24-year-old software engineer from Telangana had recently returned from Dubai. Similarly, a 69-year-old Italian tourist admitted to a hospital in Jaipur tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.
