Baripada: The COVID-19 cases in Mayurbhanj district touched 531 on Friday with 32 fresh cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
The district administration tweeted that one case was reported from Kaptipada, two from Khunta, three cases each from Jashipur, Bangiriposi and Udala blocks, four cases each from Betnoti and Baripada municipality, five from Karanjia block and seven from Sukruli block.
Among them, 11 are returnees from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and New Delhi while nine cases have been detected in institutional quarantine and two in home quarantine.
Six of the new positive cases are COVID warriors of Jashipur under Kaptipada and Sukruli blocks.
“The contact tracing of all the cases is on. All infected persons have been shifted to the COVID hospital,” it added.
With 379 recoveries, Mayurbhanj now has 150 active cases.
