Puri: Tension ran high at Brahmapur village under Krushna Prasad Tehsil in Puri district on Saturday after crude bombs were hurled at more than 40 houses following a clash between two groups late on Friday.
According to reports, as many as six persons were injured in the group clash during Ganesh idol immersion. The clash ensued between some youths and the group escorting the procession following a heated argument.
On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
