Angul: As many as six persons staying in a quarantine centre in the district tested corona positive on Thursday.
All the six persons had returned from Tamil Nadu on May 7 and accommodated in the quarantine centre at Chhendipada in the district. They are in the age group of 20 to 44 years.
Earlier, their swabs were sent for corona test and the test reports, which were received on Thursday, confirmed them to be positive. As per the government guidelines, all of them have been sent to COVID Hospital at Talcher, said district collector Manoj Kumar Mohanty.
With the day’s new cases, the corona tally in the district has gone up to 40.
