Jajpur: With two COVID-19 positive cases detected in Sadanandapur village under Rahamba gram panchayat and another one under Nathuabar gram panchayat of Rasulpur block on Wednesday, the district administration has declared 13 villages of Rahamba, Bhotaka, Rasulpur, Sribantapur, Jabara and Nathabara gram panchayats as containment zone.
The 13 villages declared as containment zone are: Mirzapur, Rahamba, Kolatha and Sadanandapur of Rahamba panchayat; Khosalpur of Rasulur panchayat; Serapur and Sanarampei of Bhotaka panchayat; Barlangi and Bhagirathpur of Sribantapur panchayat; Jabara and Baunsaantabada of Jabara panchayat and Adampur and Nathuabara of Nathuabara panchayat.
The containment period in these villages will remain in force from 6 pm beginning May 6 till the same time on May 19.
Public will not be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone will not be allowed to move out.
“All the inhabitants within the containment zones shall strictly remain at home. Besides, all shopping establishments shall remain closed while the supply of essentials commodities and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the district administration,” Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das said.
