Balasore: Police have arrested six persons from Odisha’s Bhadrak district including four jewellers in connection with five loot cases in Bhadrak.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Balasore SP Raj Prasad said following repeated cases of loot from different places in Soro area, they had formed a special team to nab the miscreants. As many as five loot cases were registered at Soro police station in the last two months, he added.
Following investigation, the special team came to know that the gang of six looters belonged to Basudevpur in Bhadrak district. The team with the help of their local counterparts conducted a raid and arrested all the six persons.
During questioning, the arrested persons revealed that four of them were jewellery traders. The police recovered 90 gram of gold jwellery, 665 gram of silver ornaments, two motorcycles and Rs 20,000 in cash from their possession.
