Jharsuguda: Seven persons, including six students, were injured when the van in which they were travelling collided head-on with a speeding truck at Kankatura, bordering Chhattisgarh, in Jharsuguda district on Wednesday.
Locals rescued the students and the driver of the van and rushed them to a local hospital. The condition of one student and the van driver is stated to be critical.
Receiving information about the accident, Rengali police rushed to the spot and detained the truck driver.
The mishap took place when students of a Sisu Mandir were returning home from the school.
