Bhubaneswar: The authorities of a private school near Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar on Friday suspended six senior students for thrashing a junior student inside the school premises.
According to reports, some senior students of Class XII severely thrashed a Class VII student after having an altercation with him during recess hours.
Following the incident, the school staff rushed to the spot and admitted the seriously injured student to a private hospital.
The family members of the injured student lodged a complaint in Khandagiri police station. Acting on the complaint, police went to the school for an investigation.
The school authorities later suspended six students from the school after informing their guardians.
