Bhubaneswar: Six more Shramik Special trains carrying migrant workers from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh will arrive in Odisha on Tuesday, the East Coast Railway informed.
Two trains will arrive at Jagannathpur station in Ganjam from Surat and one each from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, Thangarh in Gujarat, Thane, and Mumbai in Maharashtra.
On Monday, over 4000 Odia migrants had alighted from trains at different stations in Odisha.
According to the State Health and Family Welfare Department, 67,535 natives have returned to Odisha since May 3.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha has touched 437 following detection of 23 new positive cases in the state, which has witnessed a spike in corona cases since the arrival of migrants.
