Angul: A six-year-old boy living in a Temporary Medical Centre (TMC) in Angul block has tested positive for COVID-19.
Giving this information to the media on Tuesday, District Collector Manoj Mohanty said the boy and his parents were kept in the TMC after their return from Maharashtra. During their stay at the TMC, their swab samples were sent for a test. While the parents tested negative, the boy has tested positive.
The infected boy will be admitted to the COVID hospital in Talcher on Wednesday, the Collector added.
Stating that 17 out of a total of 27 COVID patients in Angul district have been cured, Mohanty said out of 4719 samples sent for test, the reports of 4352 samples have been received. Of these, 4325 have are negative while the report of the remaining 367 samples is awaited.
