Puri: The management committee of Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Odisha’s Puri town took up the rituals to be performed during several religious occasions at a meeting on Tuesday.
According to sources, the ritual of the deities during coming Kartik month, solar eclipse, lunar eclipse, land of the Lord Jagannath and MoU on Adarsh Gurukul would be discussed in the meeting.
The discussion on opening of Ratna Bhandar of Jagannath temple has not figured in the agenda of the meeting. But the sources said it may figure in the discussion as Puri Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb and the management committee had expressed its concern over delay on the part of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in opening the Ratna Bhandar for repair work.
The committee had discussed the matter in its last meeting and told the ASI to take up the inspection of the store house of the Lords and submit a report on necessary repair work.
Among others Chief Administrator of the temple Veer Vikram Yadav, Puri district collector Samarth Verma, SP Kanwar Vishal Singh, ASI superintendent Arun Mallik, management committee members and officials attended the meeting on Tuesday.
