Slight Fall In New COVID-19 Infections In Odisha, Nil In 9 Districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 92 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the I&PR Department informed on Wednesday.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state touched 3,35,889 on Wednesday.

The state had reported 105 new infections the previous day.

Of the new cases detected in 21 districts, 54 are from quarantine and 38 are local contacts.

Bargarh reported the highest of 14 cases, followed by Sundargarh (11), Cuttack (9), Sambalpur (8), Puri (7), six each from Keonjhar, and Khurda, Balasore (5), four each from Jharsuguda and Kalahandi, Jajpur (3), two each from Balangir, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, and Rayagada, one each from Angul, Deogarh, Jagatsinghpur, Koraput, and Sonepur.

At present, Odisha has 787 active cases while 3,33,139 patients have recovered from the infection.
