Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw a marginal fall in new COVID infections on Friday with 318 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The city had reported 379 new cases on Thursday and 357 on Wednesday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 65 of the new infections are from quarantine and 256 local contacts.
Of the local contact cases, 21 are from Khandagiri, followed by 20 from Patia, 15 from Old Town, 12 from Saheed Nagar, 11 from Nayaalli, and 10 each from Dumduma and Laxmisagar.
The city logged 235 recoveries in the last 24 hours while the number of deceased touched 711 with the government confirming 15 more deaths due to the disease. Bhubaneswar now has 1797 active cases.
