Bhubaneswar: After reporting 316 new infections on Sunday, Bhubaneswar on Monday saw a slight dip in daily caseload with 271 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The capital city had reported 314 new cases on Saturday.
Of the new cases, 68 were from quarantine and 203 were local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in its tweet.
Of the local contact cases, Old Town registered highest of 15 cases, followed by Khandagiri and Nayapalli (12 each) and Patia (10).
The city logged 283 recoveries while there are 1,136 active cases. The number of deceased has touched 520 with 9 more deaths registered in the city during the period.
As on Monday, 92,301 patients have recovered from the virus and the total cases are 93,978.
