Slight Jump In Bhubaneswar COVID-19 Cases; 390 Recover From Infection

Bhubaneswar: After remaining below 300 for the last two days,  capital city saw a rise in COVID-19 cases with 339 new positives reported in the last 24 hours. The capital had registered 246 new cases yesterday and 287 positives the previous day.

Of the new cases, 50 were from quarantine and 289 were local contacts, tweeted Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.

The highest of 26 cases were from Dumduma followed by 19 from Patia, 13 from Khandagiri and 12 each from Chandrasekharpur and Old Town.

As many as 390 patients recovered during this period. With this, the city has now 1,489 active cases.

The total caseload of the city reached 87,274 with detection of fresh cases.

The total number of recovered has gone up to 85,353 persons and the death toll has climbed to 411.
