Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal rise in new COVID infections with 128 more people testing for the virus in the last 24 hours against 108 the previous day, taking the active cases tally to 1,110.
Among them, 25 are in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
According to the I & PR department, 75 of the new cases are from quarantine and 53 local contacts. Gajapati has registered the highest of 18 new infections, followed by Khurda at 16, Nabarangpur at 14, Sundargarh at 12 and Mayurbhanj at 11. Barring these five districts, the remaining 21 districts have reported new cases in single-digit with nil in four.

Besides, 3 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 45,776 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.27 per cent against 0.23 per cent the previous day.
