Smriti Mandhana Announces Engagement To Palash Muchhal, Flashes Engagement Ring

New Delhi: Smriti Mandhana, vice-captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, announced her engagement to long-time beau Palash Muchhal through a fun video.

In the video, Smriti is seen dancing with World Cup-winning teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy and Shreyanka Patil to the song ‘Samjho Ho Hi Gaya’ from the film ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai.’

The video ended with Smriti flashing her engagement ring.

Soon, the video became viral and fans declared it as an official announcement of her engagement.

Earlier, reports claimed that the star cricketer is set to marry music composer-filmmaker Palash on November 23.

After the World Cup triumph, Palash’s picture holding the World Cup trophy while standing beside Smriti went viral.

Fans praised Palash for proudly celebrating Smriti’s victory with a special tattoo on his hand, calling the moment “the best pre-wedding gift she could get”.

Smriti and Palash have been in a relationship since 2019.

Palash is the brother of celebrated Bollywood playback singer Palak Muchhal.

Besides directing over 40 music videos for major labels such as T-Series and Zee Music Company, Palash has also acted in Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’.

He is currently helming the film ‘Ardh’, featuring Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik.
