New Delhi: Pictures of a wedding card, with the cricketer Smriti Mandhana and her filmmaker beau Palash Muchhal’s name printed on it has sent internet into a tizzy.
Smriti and Palash’s purported wedding card claims that the lovebirds are all set to tie the knot soon, however no date was mentioned on it.
The card had the names of the bride and groom’s parents printed on it, inviting guests for the wedding, and a picture of Lord Ganesh, which is considered as a symbol of auspiciousness, was also seen on the card.
However, as no official announcement has been made by the couple, many fans believed that the card is fake and photoshopped.
The pictures of the wedding card were first shared by a fan account, dedicated to Smriti.
In no time, the card went viral and congratulatory messages started pouring in from fans and fellow athletes.
Earlier in October, during an event at the state press club, Palash, while speaking about Smriti had said, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say.”
A report by Anand Bazaar Patrika had earlier mentioned that the wedding is scheduled for November 20, 2025, and will be held in Smriti’s hometown of Sangli, Maharashtra.
Smriti was vice captain of the Team India, which recently lifted the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.
