Nabarangpur: A woman and her 5-year-old son died after they were bitten by a snake at Malapara village in Nabarangpur district’s Umerkote area.
The deceased were identified as Lakshmi Gond and Bhagirathi Gond.
According to sources, the incident took place when the victims were sleeping at home on Friday night.
They were rushed to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
