Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has decided to conduct the COVID-19 test of all Garabadu sevayats for the Snana Jatra scheduled on June 5.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting between the SJTA and Garabadu sevayats here on Saturday.
Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, Secretary of Garabadu Nijog, Rajat Pratihari said all 172 Garabadu sevayats will undergo the test for two days on May 29 and 30. The test report will come by June 3.
The Unnayan Prasasak (development administrator) of the temple administration, Ajay Jena said talks are underway with the remaining sevayat bodies (Nijog) in this regard.
