Puri: Ahead of Snana Jatra at Jagannath Temple on June 5, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Tuesday said that the Daitapati sevayats who will remain in charge of the pahandi (procession) and other rituals of the Lords will undergo COVID-19 test.
Talking to the mediapersons here, Unnayan Prasasak (development administrator) of the temple administration Ajay Jena said that the Daitapati sevayats will undergo the test at the temple office on May 27 and 28.
It may be mentioned that the Daitapati Nijog had submitted a list of 150 sevayats to the temple administration for the Snana Jatra with a request to conduct COVID-19 test of them.
