Bengaluru: Snap Inc has launched two smart spectacles in India that let you record videos and capture photos via the glasses’ cameras and upload them directly to your Snapchat account.
The two devices, named Snap Spectacles 2 and the Snap Spectacles 3, are priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively. There is a 4GB storage that lets users record up to 100 videos or 1,200 photos. It can be recharged in 75 minutes.
Snap Spectacles 2 can take 1642×1642 resolution photos while the 3 can do so at 1728×1728 pixels. The 3 features a secondary HD camera which is used to capture depth. Both can take 3D photos as well.
The Snap Spectacles 3 will be available in carbon and mineral colours. The cheaper Snap spectacles 2 comes in Onyx Eclipse, Ruby Sunset, and Sapphire Midnight variants.
Both glasses are available on Flipkart.
“Spectacles are another way to experience Snap’s incredible AR capabilities, but also a way to capture a different point of view on the world – your own. We can’t wait to see the world through the eyes of Indian Snapchatters, especially with the new depth capture capabilities and 3D effects on Spectacles 3,” said Steen Strand, Director – Hardware, Snap.
