Bhubaneswar: Social media has been actively discussing how app prices differ between Android and iPhones (iOS), with many sharing videos highlighting the inconsistencies. Kunal Bahl, Snapdeal co-founder and new investor in Shark Tank India, responded to the issues in a conversation with India Today Digital.
On the price variations across mobile operating systems, Bahl remarked, “You should ask the companies suspected of that. It would not be appropriate for me to speak on behalf of others. But I can say that, at the end of the day, consumers are smart, and over time, they figure out which company is providing them value and which is not.”
Bahl also reflected on the impact of online shopping in India, particularly the concerns that it has made people lazier and diminished the joy of traditional retail outings.
Dismissing this belief, he said, “It’s quite a limited phenomenon. To put things into perspective, 90 per cent of retail is still offline. This trend is restricted to a certain segment of society and specific cities. A larger percentage of people still enjoy shopping offline.”
Shark Tank India Season 4, featuring prominent business leaders such as Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Ritesh Agarwal, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Azhar Iqubal, Varun Dua, and Viraj Bahl as investors, is currently streaming on SonyLIV.
