Snatchers Strike Again, Take Away Mobile Phone Of A Girl In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In yet another snatching case in the capital city, a youth took away a mobile phone of a young girl on Sunday.

Speaking to the media, the young girl said the incident took place in the afternoon when she was returning home in Kharvelnagar. A boy of young age came on a black Pulsar bike and snatched the mobile phone from her hand near the Ram Mandir.

She immediately approached the traffic police at the junction. On his suggestion, she went to Kharvelnagar police station and registered a complaint.

The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

It may be noted that a retired woman teacher was injured after bike-borne youths snatched gold necklace after attacking her at Adhalia near Balianta on January 31.

Almost a week before this incident, the necklace of another woman was snatched while she was riding pillion on a scooter near Nabard office under Nayapalli Police limits.
