Bhubaneswar: An academician of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, Dr Sitikantha Mishra, has been nominated as an expert member in the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Gwalior.
The appointment of Dr Mishra, who is Advisor cum Dean of the faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, SOA Deemed to be University, has been made by Union Minister of Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel is for a period of three years.
Dr Mishra was the first academician to hold the post of Director, IITTM. He also served as Chairman of All India Board of Hospitality and Tourism Management and was a member of the Executive Committee of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
He is presently a member of School Board of NEHU, IGNOU and Mizoram Central University.
