Bhubaneswar: Chief librarian of SOA Deemed to be University, Dr DB Ramesh has been honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his contributions to Library and Information Science and Industry by ProQuest.
ProQuest is a Michigan-based global information-content and technology company also functioning in New Delhi.
Ramesh, who worked with CSIR Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology in Bhubaneswar for over three decades, is a recipient of Fulbright Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA (1992-93), British Council’s Visitorship Programme, UK (1993) and Society for Information Science (SIS) Fellowship Award (1996).
He has more than 42 years of professional experience in library management and services and edited nine books. He has also published around 110 papers in 45 peer-reviewed journals. He has also edited 65 volumes of seminar proceedings.
