Bhubaneswar: Sabnam Sirin of the Community Radio 90.4 run by SOA Deemed to be University, was honoured with the Best Youth Reporter award at a function organised on Monday to mark the conclusion of a year-long campaign on empowering young people.
The campaign, titled ‘Empowering Adolescents and Youth Through Community Radios in Odisha’, was assisted by UNICEF. It focused on the sub-themes of child marriage, complimentary feeding and routine immunisation, adolescent healthcare and anaemia, nutritional food, protection of children from violence, continuing education and school dropouts and sanitation, hygiene and wash.
The culmination of the campaign by different Community Radio Stations functioning in Odisha was organised by Young India in association with UNICEF.
