Bhubaneswar: A faculty member and two students of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University here have been selected to represent Odisha in Mini Golf at the 37th National Games to be held in Goa from October 25 to November 9.
Those who have made the cut are Smruti Rekha Pattnaik, Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering at Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of SOA, Amrita Das and Adyasha Mishra, both third-year BBA LLB (Hons) students of SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL).
SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda congratulated the three women and wished them success in the National Games. Odisha Mini Golf Association consultant Prasenjeet Pati and SOA Sports Officer Sunita Barma also wished the selected trio.
In Mini Golf, the ball is played from the tee into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the rules of the game. Every player in the group takes the first shot before proceeding to take the second shot.
Mini Golf is played in groups of fours or less.
